Oh my lord. This is one of my favorites! I remember as a child my dad would always buy the Neapolitan ice cream containers and I have very fond memories of eating it. This raw vegan version is low fat, guilt free, cruelty free, and the best part? It has a creamy texture, tastes sweet, all the flavors you're used to, is a nice cold refreshing treat to have any time of the year.
This is also a raw recipe on a budget, amazingly inexpensive. Cheaper than a meal of potatoes of equal calories! Much more nutritious too :)
I love banana ice cream! Just freeze the bananas before hand by peeling them and putting them in a zip lock bag. Make sure they are ripe with lots of spots to get the best flavor.
3 Bananas per flavor (9 bananas total)
For strawberry: Add a cup of strawberries
For Vanilla: Add vanilla powder
For Chocolate: Add carob or cacao powder and 1/4 cup of dates + 1/4 cup water
