The Nigerian first lady was forthright with the current state of affairs in the country which she claimed is linked to people with vested self-interest. She opined that if the situation persists, Nigerians may revolt against her husband. The President responds to his wife's interview sparked condemnation from activities and women organisation who felt the President of Africa 's most populous country used derogatory remarks on his wife. The President said to the media that his wife role belongs only to his kitchen, living room and bedroom(s).
